How do I know what the correct level placement is for my child?

Students will be placed in a class based on their registration selections. Children & Teens classes are based on age level and dance experience. Please refer to this page on our website to see a list of level placement recommendations for different age groups based on experience. However, it may be necessary to reassign a student to a different class of a more appropriate level. The first four weeks of each semester is considered a "placement period". Faculty or families may reach out to the administrative staff to request a level change during this period.

Please also note that teachers will informally evaluate their classes during the first few weeks of classes. If a student would benefit from a different level placement, we will reach out to the family to find the best class for the child.
