Why are students doing the same thing at the beginning of every Community Education class?

Dance class is like Mathematics; just as you still need to know Addition to successfully complete a Calculus equation, Ballet students begin class with pliés as beginners and continue through to their professional careers. Don’t be surprised if you see the same movements repeated in every class. This is a purposeful choice in our curricular set up and allows students to deepen their understanding of content and context over time, while learning to be as specific as possible in the way they move.
