Why are single-occurrence Community Education classes more expensive per class than multi-occurrence classes?

Single-occurrence classes are more expensive per class because a faculty member has to travel the same distance and plan to teach for that class the same way they do for multi-occurrence classes, but they are at your location for less time. Therefore, their rate to teach a single occurrence class is higher and, as a result, the cost of the program is higher.
